WHEN REQUESTING A QUOTE

To give a detailed and accurate quote we need:

  • Sight of the artwork or  something similar
  • The style of mug with a couple of options - see the "mug styles & shapes"    button top right of this page.
  • If ordering plates state the style and diameter of plate (coupe or shoulder)
  • Quantities: the quantity of mugs, plates or other items required.

(Note: - we often get emailed to quote without seeing any artwork or info about the mug or plate styles and quantities - which makes quoting without a spec a bit tricky!!)

We have two methods for ceramic printing:

Spot colour screen printing where the artwork has 1 - 6 colours which are all mixed specially and 300dpi 4 colour process laser enamel printing.

We can decide which print method is best for the artwork when we see it, and then advise you.

Send the info by email for files up to 4mb but for larger artwork files use DropBox, WeTransfer or similar FTP file services with the artwork as a 350 pixels per inch .jpg, .tif  .pdf or as an Illustrator or vector .pdf file.

It also helps to know the print colour information particularly the Pantone references if using spot colours. If you do not know what the colours are and don't use the Pantone colour match system, then a paper printed sample can be sent by post for visual matching.

Note - we can provide a full graphic design origination service, which can be quoted for.

The required delivery date can also be specified if there is a deadline to meet. We can offer an Express service - let us know.

MUG PRINT AREA GUIDES

If you want to design your own artwork, here is a selection of the print areas for cylindrical mug styles in .pdf format. To see the mug codes click the "mug styles and shapes" page link at the top of this page.

They can be opened in Illustrator and Photoshop as well as many other graphic programmes so you can create your proposed artwork to the correct size. Note that the MQE curved mugs are not suitable for a design full "wraparound" image, but OK with front and back images.
